DON'T LET ME CRY

by:
Michael Dubina

Dear Lord of Love, don't let me cry
For common joys that pass me by
And let me not despair for goals
That add no richness to my soul.
I only want to shed my tears
For joys and goals that You endear
And cry, no more, for what is rife
That passes by, throughout my life.

Don't let me waste m heartfelt tears
In nights of longing, grief and fears;
Don't let me cry for selfish needs
That are the sins of human greed;
Give me, I pray, a sense of worth
To judge with wisdom fruits of earth
And only cry for what is best
Of joys and goals that You have blest.
