OUR LIFETIME COMPANION

When we are down
And in despair-
The world seems bleak-
No one to care...
We may feel that life
Is passing us by,
That we've grown useless
And don't know why.
If we return to innocence
Just knowing the Lord is near,
Our smallest prayer-our ev'ry thought-
Be assured He'll always hear.
Allowing His to enter in,
To lessen each anxiety and fear,
Knowing that He's beside us,
Lasting comfort year by year.
Believing completely He loves us,
How privileged we will be....
Our worries so much lighter
And the "forest" we will see.
Yes, life will be much simpler
With a brand new outlook on things-
Making God our lifetime companion,
We'll discover the peace this brings.
