SUMMERTIME

by:
Kay Hoffman

Don't you love the summertime
With its warm and gentle breeze
That lingers in the valley
Softly sighing in the trees?

When the birs are sweetly singing
And comes the early dawn,
Don't you wonder what they say,
Talking back and forth in song?

Don't you love the fragrant scent
Of the blossom's sweet perfume
That steals through an open window
To mak heavenly each room?

Now that Summer's almost over,
Don't you wish it would stay?
Then do not waste a moment=
Enjoy Summer while you may.
