DAY IS DONE

When shadows fall and day is done,
My soul rests with the setting sun.
i turn my thoughts to things above,
And thank my Lord for all His love.
When day is done, I rest assured
I did my best, and I endured
By trusting God to lead the way
Despite the trials of the day.
Though shadows fall, I never fear
Because my God is always near
Keeping watch throughout the night
Until He sends the morning light.
As stars appear, I feel His love,
And offer praise to Him above,
Then peace descends with setting sun
As shadows fall and day is done.
