MY TREASURES ARE SECURE

by:
Gertrude B. McClain

THe treasures of this earth will perish,
For they never can endure,
Safely in the arms of Jesus,
All my treasures are secure.

The burdens of this life are many,
But I try to wear a smile,
For when the load becomes too heavy,
He will carry me a while.

Though I may be old and lonely,
And earth's treasures may be few,
There's a mansion up in heaven,
Loved ones there are waiting too.

Christ will give me strength and courage
As I journey through the years,
And some day in heaven's glory,
He will wipe away my tears.

When I walk the hills of glory,
And I see the beauty there,
In the storehouse of the Father,
Treasures far beyond compare.
