RAYS OF HOPE

by:
Helen Humbarger

If trials overtake you,
And your heart begins to fail.
When it seems the world's against you,
And your enemies assail.
When you're tired and seem to wonder,
If it's worth it anyhow,
In the middle of your trial,
Smile, and rest your weary brow.

Life will often bring the shadows,
And eventually the storm;
But in behind the shadows,
There lies a sunny morn.
So lift your eyes toward Heaven,
And let your sad heart know
That the shining sun, after clouds of rain,
Will bring the bright rainbow.
