THERE'S NO RAINBOW

by:
Ruth Moyer Gilmour

There's no rainbow without the rain,
No baby born without some pain,
No summertime without the spring,
No song at all unless we sing.

No twinkling stars without the night,
N morning dew without the light,
No sheltered nooks without the bowers,
No fragrance sweet without the flowers.

No honecombs without the bees,
No shady lawns without the trees,
No love at all unless we give,
Pour out our love each day we live.
