FLOODS OF LIFE

In every life, there is to be
A time of heartache, grief and glee;
Days of laughter; Days of tears;
Day and nights of joys and fears;
Tests of will and trials of heart;
Painful falls and newer starts
And always - always - sins of soul
To tempt our weaknesses and goals.
Such are the apssions of each day
That vie in life and test our way,
And try our faith in God and man
For things we do not understand;
Yet, these are floods we must endure
Of life's emotions vile and pure
And strive to rise above each tide
To live and love with Christian pride.
