PATIENCE IN YOUR POCKET

by:
Sister Miriam Barker

Keep some patience in your pocket and
When everything goes wrong,
You'll find your burdens easier
With what you've brought along.

Keep some patience in your pocket, and
When life seems harsh and cruel,
Just bring it out and hold on tight, to
Thi, your precious jewel.

Keep some patience in your pocket, and
At night when all is still,
You'll find it often brings you warmth
In life's nocturnal chill.

Keep some patience in your pocket, and
When troubles creep behind,
You'll know the peace that patience brings...
To heart and soul and mind.
